The end of the world

In twilight’s hush, the world did sway,
As stars in chaos began to play,
The end of days, a solemn sight,
When darkness swallowed the last of light.

Mountains crumbled, oceans roared,
A cosmic tempest, the Earth deplored,
The sky ablaze with fiery dread,
As life’s last chapter swiftly sped.

Mankind’s creations turned to dust,
In the wake of fate, in whom we trust,
But in the quiet of the cosmic night,
Hope still flickered, a radiant light.

For from the ashes, new worlds arise,
In the grand cycle of the endless skies,
The end of one, the birth of another,
A cosmic dance, a world to smother.

So, in the twilight’s final breath,
Remember well our time on Earth,
For from the ruins, life’s seeds unfurl,
A new beginning in the endless swirl.
